What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance
• Prepare apartments for new residents (turnovers)
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
• Coordinate with vendors and safely use tools/equipment

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-3 years relevant work experience
• Computer proficiency is a plus

Navigate at a basic level within web-based applications. • Read, and write in English in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with clients, visitors and other organization staff; and respond to basic questions • Understand spoken English in order to follow basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in Basic English with clients, visitors and organization staff in response to routine questions • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required. • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and HVAC • Excellent customer service skills • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills • Decision Making: Decisions are based on specific instructions, standard practices and established procedures which generally require little or no supervision • Problem Solving: Problems are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures and by identifying opportunities for process improvements • Independence of Duties: Work is monitored by supervisor/manager. General instructions and procedures are provided. • Flexibility/Adaptability: Work is fairly routine from day to day.
