Job description

A 100+ year old Commercial Aluminum Window Company is seeking an individual who is ready to be an essential part of a successful, ever-growing industry.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Create production drawings for fabrication from project drawings or customer take-offs.
  • Prepare manufacturing work order instructions and documents utilizing D’Calc and other company software as required. [will train].
  • Prepare Purchase Orders to obtain needed materials.
  • Written and verbal communications with inter-departmental contacts, sales representatives, and outside customers.
  • Document all job-specific correspondence with both Internal and External Contacts.
  • Other duties as directed by Management.

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Basic CADD skills; Knowledge of CADD beneficial to learning D’Calc.
  • Computer literate in a windows-based environment. (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of window & door construction is a plus.
  • Technical math, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Experience with radius in a manufacturing environment.
  • Will provide training for company software.

Education:
  • Associate’s degree preferred or related work experience.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle and talk or hear. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop or crouch. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Non-Exempt with no supervisory responsibility.
  • Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8 hours per day.
  • Overtime as needed.
