Job description

Job Title: Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering
Location: Redmond, Washington - Onsite (4 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: 18 months
Pay Rate: $77/hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering to join our team as an individual contributor responsible for ensuring product and process quality across manufacturing and supplier operations. This role focuses on driving quality excellence through process control, defect analysis, corrective action management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles and sound judgment to independently evaluate quality issues, implement effective solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure compliance and product reliability.

This position requires an Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience. The role is onsite 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities: 
Quality Assurance & Process Control
  • Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent product and process quality performance.
  • Develop, implement, and improve methods and procedures for process control, inspection, and testing.
  • Analyze quality data, defect trends, and performance reports to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product and process quality.
Non-Conformance & CAPA Management
  • Lead investigation, documentation, and resolution of internal and supplier-related Non-Conformances (NCs).
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) records using Trackwise or similar electronic quality systems.
  • Support complaint investigations, product holds, and field actions as required.
  • Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) disposition of non-conforming products and issue NCs as needed.
Supplier Quality Management
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and drive timely resolution of SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).
  • Evaluate and manage Supplier Initiated Change Requests (SICRs) in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Support supplier qualification activities, including part certification and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in manufacturing transfers between sites or facilities, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Process Improvement & Validation
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of manufacturing and distribution processes.
  • Review and assess change management activities, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for supplier changes.
  • Support validation, qualification, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Participate in the development or revision of quality procedures and standards.
General Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and supplier teams.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, CAPA, and non-conformance management
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with Trackwise or similar QMS tools is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
