Job Description
The Taxation Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring and completing specific engagements. This position is also responsible for identifying and/or solving business and technical problems, developing a high level of expertise in an area of concentration and general background in other business areas. They also have responsibility for the training and development of staff accountants.
Qualifications
1.Technical and Professional Competence

• Develop and maintain understanding of significant technical issues and recent developments in area of income and estate tax

• Demonstrate understanding and ability to correctly apply a broad array of appropriate technical pronouncements in a wide range of situations

2.Engagement Management

• Develop plans for specific engagements, directing, delegating and reviewing work of the staff

• Complete assigned tasks thoroughly, correctly and on schedule

3.Quality Management

• Provide expertise and support that helps clients resolve problems in a timely manner

• Keep management informed of progress/status, technical issues on an ongoing basis

4.Client Relations/Practice Development

• Build successful long-term relationships with clients and client personnel

• Develop and maintain a network of relationships in the community to generate future business or referrals

5.Staff Development/Performance Management

• Provide timely feedback to staff on performance issues

• Participate in staff training programs
