Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

What you’ll do: 

  • Sole responsibility and accountability for the completion of the project
  • Ensure project is constructed in strict accordance with plan specifications and local building codes
  • Coordination of all work performed in the field including scheduling of subcontractors, vendors, consultants and laborers
  • Conflicts or revisions to the plans to be clearly communicated in a timely fashion to project team (PM, Architect, Engineer, Consultants, Owners or Representative)
  • Establish and enforce job site quality control program and oversight. Make sure the workmanship is up to Wilkinson Builders standards. 
  • Establish and enforce project safety programs and standards to ensure the job site is safe for those working in the field.
  • Build strong positive relationships with the project team, ownership team, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive project schedule, supervise and coordinate construction activities daily
  • Resolve Issues and conflicts with project team, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Walk the job site daily to inspect safety, quality and progress.
  • Prepare progress reports weekly per the provided Wilkinson Builders template

Qualifications

Requirements to be successful:

3-5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
Proven leadership in ground-up and renovation projects for development, residential and commercial clients.
Strong understanding of construction documents, codes, methods, and materials.
Proficient with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and mobile construction platforms (e.g., Procore).
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
OSHA 30-hour certification, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred, not required.

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field desired, but not required.
