Join our team as a Host or Hostess!
Our host team represents us and serves as the first impression of our top-notch hospitality standards.
We are looking for intelligent, warm, hospitable individuals to help us welcome our valued guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
Our host team is a crucial part of ensuring that our restaurant runs smoothly and successfully.
Responsibilities:
-Cheerfully welcome & greet guests, take them to their table, and provide them with a menu.
-Monitor the floor plan and maximize our seating capacity by strategizing for an optimal seating plan.
-Ensure servers receive a fair rotation of tables.
-Monitor the dining room at all times, examining the general state of the restaurant & what is needed.
-Know what stages of the dining experience guests are on so we can "status update" our floorplan frequently.
-Be aware of what the general wait times may be based on correct dining rooms status updates.
-Know what tables need to be reset and alert a Server Assistant.
-Alert a manager of any possible or current issues. Work together to solve.
-Professionally answer phone calls.
-Correctly book reservations.
-Ensure all guests are thanked as they leave.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must have the ability to read and write fluently, to take and follow instructions in both verbal and written forms and to have the basic assessment and math skills to estimate wait times for guests. Must be able to stand 6-8 hours on feet and think quickly and respond appropriately in impromptu situations.
