Database Developer/Data Analytics Lead for High Frequency Trading Firm We are a cutting edge, high-frequency trading firm based in New York City. We are looking for a creative and analytically agile candidate who will step in and take ownership of the development and administration of our database systems. There will be ample opportunity for this individual to become involved in other aspects of the development of our proprietary systems. Initial tasks for this role involve automation and reporting of all accounting systems, including the ability to trace orders throughout the system.

This position requires extensive SQL experience as well as knowledge of some scripting languages for automation. Qualifications: Database and SQL expert including Postgresql knowledge/experience; Oracle PL/SQL experience and skills may be applicable to the position as well. Preferably 2 to 5 years of database development or related experience; less experienced candidates are welcome to apply if you have applicable skills.

Provide leadership in data modeling, object development, and reporting. Working knowledge of scripting languages: Ruby, Perl, Python etc. Experience in a Unix/Linux environment.

Database administration experience. Experience in financial services setting a big plus, but not necessary. Strong interpersonal skills a must.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well in a dynamic and collaborative setting. Ability to adjust to continuously changing needs and circumstances.
