At Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, we are dedicated to creating unforgettable guest experiences through exceptional service, wellness, and hospitality. Join our team and be part of a vibrant, guest-focused environment where your skills make a lasting impact.


The Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests at Talia Kitchen and plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and organized dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities


  • Greet all guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Manage seating flow to ensure efficient table turnover and balanced server sections
  • Maintain and update reservations, waitlists, and guest notes accurately
  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries or general questions
  • Communicate wait times clearly and professionally to guests
  • Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area
  • Provide exceptional guest service and help resolve minor guest concerns when appropriate
  • Follow all hospitality, safety, and service standards

Qualifications

  • Previous host or customer service experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Basic computer or reservation system skills preferred
  • Team-oriented with a guest-first mindset

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move quickly in a busy restaurant environment
  • Occasionally lift or carry light items (menus, supplies, etc.)

Work Environment


This role operates in a dynamic hospitality setting within a resort restaurant. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on business needs.
