Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions, developing tailored treatment plans for each patient.
• Administer medication management, monitoring the effectiveness of prescribed treatments, and making necessary adjustments in consultation with patients.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, addressing both physical and mental health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support, helping patients navigate challenging situations with compassion and understanding.
• Engage in community outreach and educational programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma within the community.
• Deliver therapeutic support through counseling and psychoeducation, empowering patients with coping strategies and resources for their mental health journeys.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of privacy and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Wellness Compass Clinic, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families grappling with various mental health challenges. Our clients range in age and backgrounds, and you will have the opportunity to work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health issues. Understanding cultural contexts will be crucial in delivering effective, personalized care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric specialty.
• Proven expertise in conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing therapeutic interventions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health center or a similar clinical setting focusing on mental health is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and cultural competence in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $250,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
