About the Role

We are seeking a Production Machining CNC Operator to join our Manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC machining equipment, producing quality parts, and supporting daily production goals in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to follow established procedures and work instructions. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in manufacturing while gaining hands-on machining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment to produce parts that meet quality and production standards.
• Load and unload metal workpieces into fixtures manually and repetitively throughout the shift.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, height gages, and other measuring instruments.
• Identify and report quality concerns, defective materials, or questionable conditions to Production Leadership.
• Understand and perform machine startup and shutdown procedures.
• Perform operator-level preventative maintenance and routine housekeeping activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
• Support additional production activities as needed to meet business and customer requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, machining, or machine shop experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic understanding of measuring tools such as calipers, height gages, and inspection equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and manufacturing best practices.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Regular exposure to machinery, moving mechanical equipment, elevated noise levels, sharp objects, metal materials, and vibration.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable.
