    Certified Peer Specialist (CPS)

    Wisconsin
    Full-Time or Part-Time Available

    Join Our Growing Recovery Team

    We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in a Detox, Residential, and Outpatient treatment setting.

    The ideal candidate has lived recovery experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others build meaningful and lasting recovery. This position plays an important role in providing peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and mentorship throughout the treatment process.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide peer support services and recovery mentorship to clients
    • Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and motivation
    • Facilitate peer support groups and recovery-focused activities
    • Assist clients with goal setting, coping skills, and wellness planning
    • Encourage participation in treatment, meetings, and recovery programming
    • Support clients with community resources and reintegration planning
    • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
    • Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
    • Work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, case managers, and the treatment team
    • Help create a positive, safe, and recovery-oriented environment
    Qualifications
    • Active Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification required
    • Personal recovery experience preferred
    • Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or peer support preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic computer and documentation skills
    • Valid driver’s license preferred
