Job description

TLC, The Treatment and Learning Centers, is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our interdisciplinary outpatient team in Rockville, Maryland. This position offers the opportunity to provide psychological assessment, counseling, consultation, and collaboration within a well-established nonprofit organization serving neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Our psychologists work closely with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educational diagnosticians, counselors, and educators to support individuals and families across the lifespan. Whether your passion is psychological assessment, counseling, or a combination of both, TLC offers a supportive environment where clinicians can build meaningful relationships with families while working alongside experienced professionals committed to quality care.

Come and be part of a collaborative team!

The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1950. It is an interdisciplinary organization. Each year, TLC's programs serve more than 2,000 neurodiverse individuals with a wide range of special needs. We use a holistic and strengths-based approach that considers needs in the home, at work or school, and in the community, working across disciplines to address the needs of the whole person.

The Treatment and Learning Centers is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants. TLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations across the lifespan, from toddlers through older adults
  • Assessing concerns related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning, emotional and behavioral functioning, and developmental differences
  • Writing comprehensive reports and providing feedback to families and schools
  • Providing individual, family, and/or group counseling services
  • Consulting and collaborating with other professionals within TLC's interdisciplinary programs
  • Participating in case consultation and collaborative treatment planning
  • Providing supervision and mentoring opportunities based on experience and licensure level

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000, depending on experience, licensure and responsibilities

Qualifications for the Psychologist Include:

Required:

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or Counseling Psychology
  • Current Maryland psychology license, or eligibility for Maryland licensure
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

  • Experience evaluating autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning disabilities
  • Interest in working with neurodiverse populations
  • Experience with or interest in play therapy and working with younger children

  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
