Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for clients struggling with major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders, utilizing evidence-based approaches.

• Work directly with a caseload of clients, offering individual, group, and family therapy, while ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to meet specific presenting issues and client requests.

• Implement integrated care plans that connect clients with necessary linked services and facilitate communication between clients, their families, and other healthcare providers.

• Conduct risk assessments and crisis management interventions when necessary, maintaining calm and composed in emergency situations.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to set and achieve common goals, all while respecting diverse beliefs, traditions, and communication styles.

• Monitor client progress, including admission criteria, continued care, and discharge processes to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Maintain documentation and complete reports in a timely manner to support administrative functions and compliance standards.

• Participate in quality improvement committees to enhance service delivery and contribute insights based on clinical experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve clients from diverse backgrounds facing substantial barriers to mental health care. This includes working with individuals experiencing homelessness, low-income families, and members of marginalized communities. A deep understanding of their challenges and a commitment to fostering dignity and respect in your service delivery are essential to your success in this position.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required; LCSW licensure in the state of California is mandatory.

• Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for mental health disorders, coupled with experience in crisis intervention and management.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective client interactions and clear documentation practices.

• Organizational skills are vital to manage caseload responsibilities and adhere to deadlines for report submissions.

• Proficiency in addressing age-related and specialty issues for various populations.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a similar role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
