Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist Assistant will take place onsite within our modern hospital facility, equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools and technologies. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a supportive atmosphere that fosters professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities

• Execute treatment plans that have been developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, maintaining open communication with all members of the healthcare team.
• Assess patient progress and modify the treatment plans as necessary, ensuring all changes receive proper approval from the referring physician.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews to stay updated on patient evaluations and document responses to therapeutic interventions accurately in our electronic health record system.
• Deliver a range of physical therapy techniques and modalities, encompassing safety protocols and clinical judgment to optimize treatment effectiveness.
• Engage with all patients in a compassionate manner, empowering them to take ownership of their recovery through education on home exercise and maintenance programs.
• Provide tailored instruction to patients' families and nursing staff to facilitate proper care and support during the discharge process.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or compliance, contributing valuable insights to the physical therapist for ongoing improvements in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A completed educational program in Physical Therapy Assistance accredited by an appropriate institution.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.

• A strong ability to multitask and prioritize duties during high-volume clinical hours.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

• Experience with electronic health records and familiarity with documentation standards for physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
