Our practice prides itself on using evidence-based therapies to foster healing and promote resilience in our clients.

About the Organization

Located in Brookhaven, New York, We Rise Humanistic Counseling Center specializes in delivering comprehensive mental health services tailored to individual needs. Our mission is to empower clients to overcome obstacles such as trauma, anxiety, and depression while promoting personal growth and emotional well-being. With a strong commitment to professional development and a supportive team environment, we cultivate a culture of compassion and healing.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide exceptional care from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a connection with a vibrant outpatient office setting. Our full-time therapists work a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment strategies.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and more, based on the unique needs of each individual.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and actively engage clients in their treatment, helping them develop coping skills and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA standards and provide timely documentation of all sessions and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance clinical practice and improve client outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options, ensuring they have access to relevant community resources and support.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health to continuously refine therapeutic approaches and enhance service effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work with a wide array of patient demographics, focusing on individuals facing mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Understanding each client’s unique background and experiences is crucial for providing effective, empathetic care. You will have the opportunity to facilitate healing for both individuals and their families, making a tangible difference in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Must possess an active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of New York.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with solution-based psychotherapy techniques tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing effective interaction with clients and collaboration with team members.
  • Proficient problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to navigate complex client situations and develop innovative solutions.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment, valuing the importance of fellow practitioners’ contributions to client care.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly in delivering individual and group therapy.
  • Experience with specific therapeutic modalities like CBT or DBT is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to document clinical notes proficiently and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Engagement in professional development activities such as attending workshops, trainings, or obtaining additional certifications.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health needs.
  • Life and disability insurance provided to assure financial security and peace of mind.
  • Malpractice and professional liability insurance coverage to ensure you practice with confidence.
  • Employee assistance program to offer extra support during challenging times.
  • Unlimited referrals help maintain a satisfying caseload while making a significant difference in clients' lives.
  • Minimal paperwork allows you to focus more on providing quality care rather than administrative tasks.
