Job description

We’re Hiring: Youth Resource Center Staff – Rochester, NH

At Waypoint, we believe every young person deserves safety, respect, and support. Our Rochester Youth Resource Center is a lifeline for youth navigating complex challenges, and we’re looking for a Youth Resource Center Staff Member to join our dedicated team.

Reporting to the Supportive Services Supervisor, you’ll work alongside a dynamic group including outreach workers, case managers, and housing program staff. Together, we provide connection, resources, and hope for youth and young adults facing homelessness, housing instability, and other barriers.

This position has fixed hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

What You’ll Do

  • Create a welcoming, safe, and accessible space for all youth

  • Build trust through trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and compassionate, nonjudgmental support

  • Support young people in accessing resources such as housing, health, education, and employment

  • Contribute to a strong, collaborative team culture rooted in radical candor, communication, and cohesion

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the center

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year of related experience (lived experience valued and welcomed)

  • Experience with vulnerable populations, outreach, sexual health, or behavioral health is a plus

  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting youth with compassion and respect

  • Background check required (previous carceral/legal experiences do not automatically exclude candidates)

Why Join Us?
At Waypoint, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team working to empower youth, build trust, and create safer futures. Your energy, creativity, and heart will make a direct impact every day.
