This roleย leadsย Watsonโs product strategy and discovery efforts.ย Youโllย own the product roadmap and help define where Watson should go over the next 3โ5 years byย identifyingย opportunities in the market,ย opportunities in our portfolios, newย customer needs, and translating insights into meaningful product direction.ย
Youโllย guide product strategy, research, concept development, and early-stage design exploration while managing both internal and external design resources.ย

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownershipย
Product Discovery & Researchย
Product Management & Concept Developmentย
Partner with Engineering, Operations,ย Sales, Development, and Leadership teams throughout the discovery processย ย
Balance creativity, functionality, manufacturability, and business viability during product explorationย ย
Design Leadership & Resource Managementย
Provide leadership for Watson's industrial design function, ensuring strongย utilizationย and development of internal design resources while coordinating external partners whenย additionalย capacity or expertise isย required.ย Helpย establishย structure, priorities, and direction for Watsonโs discovery and concept development effortsย ย

Whatย Youโllย Need to Knowย
5โ10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, industrial design, or product developmentย
Experience building or managing product roadmapsย
Strong understanding of market positioning, customer needs, and product strategyย
Experience leading product discovery, research, or concept development effortsย
Ability to balance creative thinking with operational and business realitiesย
Experience managing cross-functional collaboration and influencing stakeholdersย
Strong communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skillsย
Preferred:ย
Experience in commercial furniture, workplace products, or durable goods manufacturingย
Experience managing external design firms or contractorsย
Experience supporting concept prototyping and early-stage product development workflowsย

Wage and Compensationย
This role is expected to fall in the range of $110,000 โ $135,000 annually depending on experience, leadership capability, and overallย fit.ย
