Job description

UW IIE Conference Planning Team - Competitions/Workshops Being a member of the UW IIE Conference Planning Team is an important role with significant responsibility and requires a noteable time commitment. The Competitions and Workshops Team will be primarily responsible for organizing all daytime content of the conference. All competitions and seminars/ workshops will fall under this group.

This will be a closely knit team with strong communication, and detailed planning. The Competitions/ Workshop team will organize and coordinate their content before the conference, and will ideally keep the plan on track during the weekend. Our objective is to seamlessly organize and execute all competitions and workshops, along with coordinating all speakers/ judges logistics.

We are looking for outgoing, team oriented Coordinators who feel comfortable handling the content side of the 2016 IIE Waterloo Conference. Theoretical Competition and Technical Paper Coordinator In this position, you will work closely with the rest of the Competitions/Workshops Team to organize and handle logistics for the two written competitions. For this position, we are looking for a well organized, detail oriented, team player.

The Theoretical Competition will require communication with Management Engineering professors along with the Bilingual Coordinator to draft the Theoretical test. The Technical Paper competition will require communication with participating schools to collect papers that will be submitted for competition before the conference. The written competitions also require judges/ grading, and this Coordinator will work with the Competitions/Workshops Team to handle both testing and judging logistics.
