Job description

🌬️ We're Hiring: Project Manager – Wind Farm


Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in the wind energy industry? We're partnering with an innovative renewable energy company to find a professional who can lead complex wind farm projects from contract award through commissioning.


📍 Location: West Branch, IA | Chicago, IL | Montreal, Canada

Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of these locations.


What you'll do:

  • Lead the execution of wind farm projects from planning through completion.
  • Manage Turbine Supply Agreements and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, procurement, logistics, and finance.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
  • Monitor transportation, installation, commissioning, and overall project progress.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


What we're looking for:

✔ Wind energy experience is required.

✔ Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience delivering complex technical or construction projects within the wind energy sector.

✔ Experience managing EPC, turnkey, or utility-scale renewable energy projects is highly preferred.

✔ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

✔ Strong knowledge of:

  • Project lifecycle management
  • Budgeting and cost control
  • Contract administration
  • Construction management
  • Financial analysis and project reporting

✔ Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

✔ Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

PMP certification is preferred or must be obtained during the first year of employment.
