Job description

Worthington Steel is hiring motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team at our Columbus, Ohio facility. Whether you are new to the workforce or looking for a career change, we provide paid on-the-job training and a pathway to a long-term career in manufacturing. We offer full benefits on day one, competitive pay, and a strong team-oriented culture.

Seeking individuals with flexibility to work any of our 3 shifts. $1.50 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate or support manufacturing production lines
  • Package, band, and label finished materials
  • Set up and assist with machine operations
  • Weigh and prepare materials for processing
  • Use forklift and/or overhead crane to move materials
  • Follow safety protocols and quality standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy materials safely
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift or crane experience preferred but not required

Shift Details:

  • Training starts on 1st shift. 
  • Fixed 8-hour shifts with paid lunch
  • No rotating shifts
  • Required to work 2 to 3 Saturdays per month

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay: $20.00 per hour or more, based on experience and skills
  • $1.50 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift
  • $1,500 sign-on bonus
  • Quarterly profit-sharing opportunity (average $6,000 to $10,000 per year)
  • Attendance bonuses up to $1,250 annually
  • Overtime paid at time and a half; double time after 48 hours per week
  • $180 annual safety boot allowance
  • Full benefits starting Day 1:
