Regional Shuttle Driver (CDL)Connect Communities Through Safe and Reliable Transportation

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Regional Shuttle Driver (CDL) to transport passengers between designated service areas while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role is ideal for professional drivers who enjoy working with the public, operating passenger vehicles, and helping individuals reach their destinations safely and on time.

As a Regional Shuttle Driver, you will serve as the face of our transportation service, ensuring passengers experience safe, reliable, and courteous transportation every day.

Key Responsibilities of a Regional Shuttle Driver:Safe Transportation Operations

• Safely operate shuttle buses on assigned routes and schedules
• Follow all local, state, and federal traffic regulations
• Maintain schedule adherence while prioritizing passenger safety
• Monitor road and weather conditions to ensure safe travel

Passenger Assistance & Customer Service

• Provide professional, friendly, and respectful service to all passengers
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
• Operate wheelchair lifts and ramps as needed
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety procedures
• Answer passenger questions and provide route or schedule information
• Make announcements and communicate important travel information when necessary

Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Check vehicle systems including brakes, lights, tires, mirrors, and safety equipment
• Report maintenance concerns or mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for daily service

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete daily driver logs and required transportation records
• Document incidents, accidents, and operational issues accurately
• Record passenger counts, service information, and other required reports

Qualifications of a Regional Shuttle Driver:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement required
• Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices
• Previous passenger transportation, shuttle, transit, or bus driving experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in changing situations
• Basic understanding of vehicle inspections and transportation safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist passengers and operate wheelchair lifts and ramps
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds when necessary
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods while operating a vehicle
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and transportation environments
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform routine vehicle inspections

ScheduleSplit Shift Schedule

• Morning Route: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• Evening Route: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This position requires availability for both scheduled shift segments.
