The ideal candidate is a dependable, well-organized, and versatile individual who has experience in civil engineering design and strong project management skills. They are organized, have solid communication skills, can work independently with minimal supervision, are team-oriented, personable, and possess a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the business. Candidates must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering. This is an onsite position based in our San Diego office.Responsibilities:Design civil and water/wastewater projects for municipal clientsAssist in the preparation of proposals and fee estimatesDevelop work plans and schedulesAssist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clientsPerform studies, calculations, designs, and preparation of plans and reports in accordance with project requirements and engineering standardsBuild and maintain positive client relationshipsPerform other responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) license in Civil Engineering requiredMinimum of five years of practical work experienceExperience with civil engineering as the engineer of record or principal in charge on projects submitted to public agenciesWrite, review, and critique proposals, plans, designs, or fee estimates related to civil disciplinesProvide technical direction or supervision to engineering professionals, engineering, or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other professional and technical personnelAssist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clientsExcellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clientsSolid experience with the MS Office SuiteWe offer a generous salary and benefits package that includes company paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, vacation, and a competitive 401(k) program.
