We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Service Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety. Your expertise will contribute to providing satisfying and visually appealing meals for our community, ensuring a positive dining experience for all.


Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of foods including meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, desserts, modified diet foods, and casseroles according to standard recipes.

- Prepare all food in sufficient quantities to meet service requirements.

- Coordinate food preparation timing to align with service schedules.

- Estimate food requirements and efficiently utilize leftovers to minimize waste.

- Present food in an attractive and palatable manner.

- Handle, store, and refrigerate food properly to ensure safety and quality.

- Standardize recipes and determine the appropriate number of portions needed for each meal.

- Request daily food and supply orders to ensure adequate stock for service.


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a institutional or large-scale setting.

- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.

- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

- Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing menu requirements and service schedules.
