Job description
- Manage and maintain all IT systems across HQ, workshop, and trackside environments.
- Set up and support race-weekend IT infrastructure, including: such as network connectivity (wired and wireless), timing systems and telemetry data links and communications with governing bodies and broadcast partners
- Oversee server, storage, and backup solutions for performance data and engineering files.
- Provide on-site and remote user support for engineers, mechanics, and management staff.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management, antivirus, and access control.
- Maintain and deploy IT hardware (laptops, radios, network switches, cameras, tablets, etc.).
- Liaise with external vendors and motorsport data system providers.
- Document IT systems, network configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Support software and cloud services used by performance, logistics, and media teams.
- Manage IT asset inventory and license compliance.
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Systems Engineer, or IT Support Specialist and IT trackside experience.
- Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls).
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Familiarity with motorsport data systems (e.g., telemetry, timing, CAN data, Pi Toolbox, Bosch, or Magneti Marelli systems) preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware setup and troubleshooting in demanding environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data integrity management.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing trackside conditions.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Motorsport industry experience.
- Experience with radio communications or trackside telemetry networks.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including international events and long weekends.
- Passion for motorsport technology and innovation.
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are an advantage.
