Job description
Position: Custodian
Starting Pay: $16.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM
Status: Full-Time (Eligible for all FT benefits)
Primary Location: 424 9th Ave South Fargo, ND 58103
Additional Duties: Support weekly cleaning + maintenance needs at all locations.
As part of our growing VTC team, this position plays a key part in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include daily custodial care, maintaining grounds, and providing support for both interior and exterior upkeep across multiple VTC locations.
Key functions include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and floor care
- Emptying trash/recycling
- Maintain inventory and order supplies
- Groundskeeping duties such as raking, snow/ice removal, and keeping entryways clear
- General building maintenance tasks (filter changes, minor repairs, unclogging drains, etc.)
- Identifying maintenance or safety concerns and assisting with solutions
- Maintaining confidentiality and upholding VTC standards
Other duties not listed above may be assigned.
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current Driver's License
- Time management and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
