Job description

Our replacement, new construction, and impact-resistant products are designed and engineered in house from premium-quality materials. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 1st Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be able to repair automated production equipment, both PLC and window base. Possess strong problem-solving skills with electrical background and pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical experience. Ability to work a flexible shift schedule is preferred. Overtime required periodically.
Hours:
1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm (Overtime and weekends as needed)
Compensation:
  • Competitive wages
  • Quarterly and hourly bonuses
  • $1000 new hire bonus after 90 days; applicable to taxes

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Support a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC-style machinery, automated production equipment, and industrial systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Respond quickly to production downtime and equipment issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Use CMMS systems to document work orders, repairs, and maintenance history.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
  • Follow all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills including:
  • Bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, belts, chains, and drives
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Motors, pumps, actuators, and mechanical assemblies
  • Machine alignment, adjustments, and precision repairs

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including:
  • 480V/240V/120V/24V industrial electrical systems
  • Motors, starters, contactors, relays, and overloads
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Sensors, switches, and safety circuits
  • Electrical panels and industrial wiring

Basic controls troubleshooting experience including:
  • PLC fault identification and diagnostics
  • HMI troubleshooting
  • Understanding of PLC inputs/outputs
  • Proximity sensors, encoders, and automation devices
