Vitamix is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead strategic planning and drive long-term profitable growth for assigned product categories. They will manage execution of product strategy, roadmap priorities, end-to-end product lifecycle, commercialization, and new product profitability; they will lead business and product decisions across new product development; mentor junior team members; and translate market and customer insights into evidence-based priorities.
The Sr. Product Manager will partner closely with the Commercial sales team and key customers to shape customer-specific product strategies and custom products, prioritize the highest-value growth opportunities, and accelerate adoption of new products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Define 3-year product roadmaps for assigned product lines/categories, evaluating customer, market, competitiveness, and financial inputs to establish priorities, business cases, and product requirements.
  • Translate market and customer insights into strategy by influencing learning plans, guiding research, and identifying performance gaps, customer needs, adoption barriers, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead product decisions and lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life across global markets; partner with Program Management, Marketing, and Sales on development, launch, positioning, adoption, and post-launch performance.
  • Own product line/category performance across revenue, margin, profitability, and market share, prioritizing high-value growth opportunities and driving new product and launch profitability.
  • Lead and develop junior product managers through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and accountability while fostering collaboration and high-quality execution.
  • Represent Product Management with executive stakeholders, communicating recommendations, business cases, trade-offs, and decisions while driving cross-functional alignment on priorities.
  • Partner with Sales and Brand Marketing on national and key accounts, providing product expertise and contributing to customer-specific strategies, commercialization, and portfolio recommendations that drive profitable growth.
  • Translate customer and market intelligence into growth opportunities, sizing and prioritizing opportunities, informing product strategy, and aligning development priorities with market and customer needs.
  • Enable sales and engage customers through product expertise, presentations, training, webinars, and tools; partner with Sales to address adoption barriers and accelerate new product growth.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Minimum 7 years related experience
Prior experience directly managing, coaching, or mentoring junior team members, including setting expectations and providing performance feedback
Experience in Food Service, Culinary, or Consumer Packaged goods industries is preferred
Experience supporting national or key accounts, delivering customer-facing presentations, or working closely with commercial/sales teams in a B2B or foodservice environment preferred
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is required
Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance preferred
Technical Skills:
  • Product & Portfolio Strategy: Product portfolio and lifecycle management, category strategy, roadmap development, prioritization and product requirements
  • Innovation & Commercialization: New product development, commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and post-launch performance management
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Business case development, opportunity sizing, revenue and margin analysis, profitability, and investment trade-offs
  • Market & Customer Insights: Market, customer, competitive, and category analysis; voice-of-customer and market research
  • Pricing & Channel Strategy: Pricing, value proposition, customer and channel strategy
  • Demand & Forecasting: Forecasting and demand planning collaboration
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive alignment and decisions across functions and effectively translate strategy into action
  • Executive Communication: Clearly communicate complex insights, recommendations, and strategic direction to senior leadership

Other Requirements
  • Analytics & AI: Leverage analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled tools to investigate business questions, synthesize information, generate insights, and develop recommendations; experience with Tableau, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools preferred
  • Problem Solving - Skilled at quickly diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing effective solutions.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day, with walking and standing required frequently
  • Visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading documents, reports, and emails
  • Repetitive hand movements for tasks like typing or assembly
