Position Overview

Vital Body Wellness is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Reno, Nevada. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and developing customized treatment plans for patients with various orthopedic conditions, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center is designed with state-of-the-art equipment and resources to facilitate high-quality care. Working onsite, you will find yourself in a collaborative atmosphere where each member of our healthcare team contributes uniquely to patient outcomes. Our schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that promotes well-being for our staff as well as our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients using evidence-based practices to identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Develop individualized initial and ongoing treatment plans that follow best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Oversee the administration of therapy sessions, ensuring quality care is provided at all times, while actively engaging with patients to maintain their motivation and adherence to treatment.
• Supervise and mentor assistants and rehabilitation technicians, guiding them in best practices and collaborative approaches to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions in accordance with facility guidelines and state regulations.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a cohesive approach to recovery.
• Adhere strictly to all regulatory requirements, including state and federal laws related to physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center specializes in a diverse patient population ranging from young athletes to elderly patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will encounter a variety of diagnoses, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and degenerative diseases, allowing you to apply your skills in a multitude of clinical scenarios.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Nevada.
• A valid Healthcare Provider CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proven ability to safely operate physical therapy equipment and perform functional evaluations in a clinical setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals while representing our organization positively.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred, providing a solid foundation in the complexities of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience working with a wide age range of patients and various orthopedic diagnoses will enhance your candidacy.
• Previous involvement in case management or supervisory roles is advantageous for career progression within our organization.
