Position Overview

Vital Body Wellness is actively searching for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in orthopedics to join our compassionate team in Henderson, Nevada. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in patient rehabilitation by working closely under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Work Environment

You will be working onsite within our hospital facility, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and technologies designed to enhance treatment efficacy. Our clinical environment emphasizes teamwork and offers a supportive atmosphere where professional development is encouraged. Your work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure while providing ample time for patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed physical therapists in the collection of initial evaluations, performing necessary tests and measurements in accordance with patient treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic procedures as directed by the supervising therapist, ensuring adherence to the individualized plan of care for each patient.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment techniques as necessary based on patients’ responses and improvements.
  • Communicate regularly with supervising therapists regarding patient statuses and any changes in physical or mental health that may affect treatment.
  • Coordinate treatment activities with other healthcare professionals and community resources, optimizing the patients' overall treatment experience.
  • Participate in regular clinical team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and foster a collaborative team approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily be working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions. This may include patients who have undergone hip or knee replacements, those with sports injuries, or individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions. Your expertise and thoughtful interactions will contribute to their recovery journey, helping them regain strength and mobility.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
  • You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree relevant to Physical Therapy and maintain a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Nevada prior to your start date.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is necessary and must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers are essential.
  • Competence in various physical therapy treatments and techniques is paramount.
Preferred Experience

Experience in an orthopedic setting is highly desirable, as is familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and electronic medical record systems that enhance patient treatment plans and documentation. A passion for ongoing professional growth and a commitment to high-quality patient care are also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and skill level.
