Position Overview

The Vista Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, New Jersey. This full-time position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients with functional limitations or disabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on patients’ unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide consultation and care coordination with other healthcare professionals regarding the continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain high standards in patient interactions, adhering to our customer service ethos and promoting a positive experience for each patient, irrespective of their background.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness regularly, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards.
• Document all patient interactions, findings, and treatments accurately in both written and electronic formats, ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Engage in community outreach, marketing initiatives, continual quality improvement (CQI) activities, and program development to enhance service delivery.
• Supervise and provide education to auxiliary staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and students, fostering a learning environment.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, seeking opportunities for professional development through in-service training and continuing education programs.
• Work in partnership with patients and families to develop effective discharge plans, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for ongoing rehabilitation outside our facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Rehabilitation Center serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various chronic conditions that affect mobility and function. Therapists at Vista Therapy Group play a pivotal role in restoring patients’ independence and improving their overall quality of life by utilizing evidence-based physical therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication, along with skilled use of word processing and computer systems.
• Ability to adhere to comprehensive documentation standards and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient documentation and information sharing.
• Experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams can significantly enhance the quality of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
