For example, fragrance chemists have to develop a scent for a cleaning product, without affecting how well the cleaning product does its job. Fragrance chemists must be very familiar with handling chemicals and following procedures in order to prevent injury or damage.
Most fragrance chemists have a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field and have experience working safely in laboratories.
