We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Transport Dispatcher to support daily transport operations throughout the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding communities. This position plays a critical role in coordinating medical transports, communicating with healthcare facilities and field crews, monitoring transport progress, and ensuring patients receive timely and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily medical transports, crew assignments, and unit availability
• Communicate professionally with hospitals, healthcare facilities, patients, families, and field crews
• Monitor transport status, crew movement, and trip progress throughout each shift
• Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally, and accurately
• Prioritize transport requests and operational needs in real time
• Enter and maintain accurate transport details in dispatch and scheduling software
• Provide ETA updates and communicate delays or schedule changes as needed
• Support field crews through clear, timely, and effective communication
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, facility, and company information in accordance with HIPAA standards
• Assist with administrative, scheduling, and operational duties as assigned
• Report to scheduled shifts on time, in proper uniform, and maintain professional conduct at all times

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dispatch, communications, or call center experience
• EMS, healthcare, medical transport, logistics, or customer service experience
• Experience with multi-line phone systems or radio communications
• Familiarity with Harrisonburg, the Shenandoah Valley, and surrounding areas
• Experience using dispatch, scheduling, or transportation software systems
