Job description
At Vertus HealthCare, we are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in the comfort of our patients’ homes. We are seeking an experienced and dependable RN to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a ventilator and tracheostomy-dependent patient in a home setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage ventilator settings, alarms, and respiratory equipment
- Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Assess respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Manage enteral feedings and monitor tolerance
- Provide Foley catheter care and monitor output
- Educate family/caregivers on patient care and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in:
- Home health
- Ventilator/trach care
- ICU or critical care
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a home setting
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
