Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving migration of existing application components between different Application Performance platforms

Responsibilities

• Migrate application performance monitoring (APM) of application and infrastructure components from AppDynamics to Dynatrace
• Develop or lead development of architecture artifacts to support technical solutions, to include:
• Capture and model various enterprise system and network connections.
• Integrate and model current or desired business capabilities into the architecture solution.
• Plays a strong role in project delivery management. Partners with the Design Engineering team to create Detailed Implementation Plans for all design, Test and Accept criteria, Back-Out and validation plans and procedures
• Provide technical implementation services to support the evolution of application performance monitoring requirements.
• While the role primarily has an implementation and validation engineering focus, a strong understanding of design engineering concepts is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 Years of experience supporting App Dynamics or Dynatrace.
• Application and systems performance management, measurement and analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot and handle APM infrastructure level issues and tasks
• Deployment and configuration of complex enterprise software
• Solid understanding of Operating Systems (Linux/Windows)
• Strong understanding of built in O/S monitoring and performance tools.
• Experience with service management tools like ITSM, Service now
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve Incidents within SLA
• Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate tasks with partners
• Working with a wide variety of platforms and application stacks. Ability to understand new application frameworks in customer environments quickly
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams in different time zones
• Strong Self-starter, self-directed and shows initiative
• Focused on execution, delivery, and commitment to dates

Desired Job Skills:

• Strong UNIX, Linux, Wintel, Perl/Shell/Python scripting
• Proficiency in system, network, security and database operations, protocols, and industry standard technologies.
• Strong root cause diagnosis skills.
• Ability to manage production changes, releases, and upgrades in a collaborative environment in accordance with lifecycle methodology and risk guidelines and data management
• Supports the 24x7 day-to-day maintenance of the infrastructure application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application and data issues and issues resolution or escalation
• Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to changes in project scope.
• Ability to partner with others for the good of the initiative
• Has participated in design and/or implementation of major IT projects
