Learn more about us at https://www.vecinohomes.com/.The Position: The Lead Project Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for leading the Project Management team while also managing their own portfolio of residential construction projects. This field-based role requires regular visits to active job sites throughout the Greater Houston area to oversee project progress, quality, safety, and schedule performance. The Lead Project Manager coaches and mentors Project Managers, drives process improvements, and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.Job Responsibilities:Team LeadershipLead, coach, and mentor Project Managers to drive accountability, professional growth, and consistent project execution.Provide regular guidance, feedback, and support to help teams resolve challenges and achieve project goals.Foster collaboration and clear communication across project teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.Project OversightOversee multiple residential construction projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.Monitor project schedules, change orders, subcontractor performance, inspections, permits, and punch-list completion to keep projects on track.Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.Bidding & Cost ControlEnsure Project Managers proactively manage the bidding and procurement process to keep subcontractors and materials aligned with project schedules.Monitor project budgets, review contractor proposals and invoices, and help control costs throughout the project lifecycle.Review bid evaluations and contractor selections prepared by Project ManagersEnsure project documentation, change orders, and financial records are accurate and up to date.Design & Quality AssuranceEnsure construction activities align with approved plans, specifications, and design intent.Conduct site visits to verify workmanship, quality standards, and project progress.Verify Project Managers communicate design intent and project expectations to subcontractors before work begins and address design conflicts or discrepancies proactively.Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to resolve issues and maintain quality expectations.Safety & Site SecurityPromote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.Verify jobsites remain safe, secure, and organized throughout the construction process by conducting regular safety inspections.Investigate and address safety concerns, security issues, and other jobsite risks in a timely manner.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish required.3+ years of residential construction project management experience required.1-2 years of leadership or team-lead experience required.Strong knowledge of building codes and the residential construction process.Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.Proficiency with BuilderTrend, JobTread or similar construction management software.Desired Skills and Competencies: Leadership & CoachingAttention to DetailProblem-Solving & Decision-MakingClear Communication (written and verbal)Reliability & Follow-ThroughPlanning & OrganizationBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision401(k)Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysVecino Homes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
