Manufacturing Technician

Location:

Waco, TX (On-site)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to:

Production Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for various aspects of manufacturing; Assembly, Set-up, Cutting Steel, Buffing Steel, Deburring Steel, Hand Roller Painting, Crane Rigging, Drilling.

Essential Functions:

Operate machinery correctly and maintain with care.

Operates standard tools, hand tools, power tools, precision maintenance tools and measuring devices.

Interpret and understand technical drawings, diagrams and operation manuals.

Prepare and hand paint steel struts including surface cleaning and coating applications.

Report any machinery issues to management.

Work cooperatively across Manufacturing Teams to meet dates and goals.

Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.

Follow all written and verbal instructions.

Attend all safety and production training.

Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time.

Support continuous improvement and 5s initiatives related to workspace and organization.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Environment/Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, shift times vary per manufacturing department. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employees are expected to work the hours necessary to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, additional technical training or certification is a plus.

Must be computer literate

Experience in Manufacturing Industry

Travel: Travel is not required for this position
