Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

VanThof’s Automotive has provided East Rochester and the surrounding area with five-star auto repair since 1980 and we are known for honest work, loyal customers, and a supportive team environment. We’re looking for a dedicated Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist them with service inquiries.
• Schedule service appointments and manage the service department's workflow.
• Provide customers with detailed explanations of service recommendations.
• Prepare estimates and ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in automotive service advising or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for service management
• ASE certification or equivalent automotive training preferred
• Knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
