The CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a variety of cargo including flatbed loads, dry van, walking floor, dump trailer, dump truck, refrigerated goods, and general freight. Operating primarily on local and regional routes, this solo driver role requires occasional overnight travel on a volunteer basis. The driver will ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while maintaining timely deliveries and managing vehicle operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport diverse cargo safely and securely
- Plan and follow local and regional routes efficiently
- Adhere to all safety and DOT compliance regulations
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after routes
- Manage fuel consumption and optimize usage
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and customers
- Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and inspections
- Manage time effectively to ensure on-time deliveries
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in commercial truck driving
- Valid DOT Medical Card
