Our client is growing, and they’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Division Controller to help shape the financial future of our organization. This is more than a reporting role, it’s a seat at the table, working closely with leadership to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and strategic growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and actively manage all core accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, A/P, A/R, asset and balance sheet management, tax compliance, and financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operating results.
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff by setting expectations, providing regular feedback, and aligning performance with company values.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting while identifying opportunities to reduce cost and waste.
  • Build and manage departmental budgets and long-range financial forecasts.
  • Analyze operational and labor data, surface risks, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and other teams to support business goals.
  • Maintain key external relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, and legal advisors.
  • Support the President and leadership team in executing company-wide strategies.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 7+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, and team leadership
  • CPA designation (preferred)
  • Experience in waste, logistics, or transportation industries (preferred)
