Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and assessing patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and functional ability.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that cater to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
  • Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions that introduce innovative therapeutic techniques and technologies to enhance recovery.
  • Continuously monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educating patients and their families about their conditions and involving them actively in the rehabilitation process.
  • Documenting all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with organizational protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Participating in staff meetings and collaborative case reviews to stay informed about best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role in the rehabilitation facility will expose you to a wide-ranging patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, young athletes with sports injuries, children with developmental disorders, and adults managing chronic conditions. By customizing treatment plans that prioritize each patient's goals, you will play a crucial role in their recovery journey, helping them achieve milestones that enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • A current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
  • At least two years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation systems.
Preferred Experience

Experience in pediatric, orthopedic, and sports medicine therapy is highly desirable. Candidates who have previously worked in a team-oriented rehabilitation environment will thrive in this role, as will those who demonstrate a commitment to building strong relationships with patients and contributing to community health initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
