Position: P1_Packer Department: Production Reports to: Production Supervisor Subordinates: N/A
Hours: Full Time, 8 hour shift. OT as required Days: Monday - Friday, Weekends and OT as needed
FLSA: Non-exempt
Objective: To offer a variety of support to Production by thawing product, filling hoppers, sorting, catching, packing, casing, and/or dish room duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Thaw product
• Push/pull up to 220-lb bowls of filling to machine area
• Repetitive scooping with 2-5 lb metal scoopers
• Fill hoppers and keep machines full at all times when stationed at hoppers
• Seal product trays and bags
• Case product
• Check for defective product
• Adjust and level product at machines
• Weigh trays
• Catch ravioli (for samples only)
• Wash and sanitize tubs, utensils, etc. in dish room
• Maintain a clean and neat production area
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Complete reports and follow HACCP, CGMP, GMP, SOPs, and SSOPs
• Follow personal hygiene policy and other company safety policies/requirements
• Provide support to other areas of production as needed (e.g. packing, casing, shipping)
• Provide sanitation support as instructed (e.g. cleaning machine, taking apart machines, sweeping, mopping..etc)
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Read and write basic English
• Basic math skills
• Able and willing to complete CGMP, HACCP, SSOPs, safety, and equipment trainings
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ years of food processing experience
• Able and willing to complete forklift driving training
