Job description

Val-Matic Valve Packer

Since 1966, Val-Matic Valve has been delivering products and services that are essential in providing clean water and other fluids to industries and homes around the world. Today, Val-Matic manufactures nine types of air valves and is the leading supplier of air valves in North America. As a subsidiary of A.Y. The Packer builds SCV and prepares packages for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Reads job information and locates correct tools and materials.
  • Assemble SCV per work instructions.
  • Attach metal tags, labels, and any special tagging or labeling that may be required per the special-order sheet.
  • Make boxes or packs as required.
  • Clean valves and add rust preventative to unpainted surfaces.
  • Place valves into specified containers, label, and seal as required.
  • Cleans work area daily.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and report issues.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shift.
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Wages: $21/hr + shift premium
