Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role is vital in assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, particularly in urgent care and internal medicine settings.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform basic life support and emergency medical procedures when necessary.
• Manage patient records, including coding and documentation of medical histories.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
• Provide medical administrative support, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and conducting preliminary assessments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of urgent care practices and protocols.
• Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling and record management.
• Familiarity with internal medicine procedures and terminology.
• Understanding of coding systems for accurate documentation.
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
• Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and basic life support techniques.
• Solid understanding of human physiology to assist in patient assessments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in operating room (OR) settings is a plus.
