THEATER OPERATIONS MANAGERAre you a live performance loving, no nonsense, roll your sleeves up and get the job done leader? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our theater manager position. We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our theater operations on the famous Las Vegas Strip!WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Manage and oversee all theater departments, including the box office, showroom, and barEnsure that all shows run on time and guests are provided with excellent customer serviceManage communications with show producers and castHandle escalated guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional mannerCoordinate with human resources to maintain adequate staffing levelsInterview, hire, and oversee training of all new employeesOversee scheduling to ensure proper coverage for all showtimes and showroomsManage bar operations to include scheduling, inventory, and cash in/outManage ticketing sales and operations within the theaterOrder and track inventory of all paper goods and bar suppliesCoordinate activities and communications with theater suppliers and vendorsMaintain all visual merchandising displaysOversee third party photo agentsCommunicate required repairs and upkeep to facilities maintenance, verifying that the issue(s) is resolvedMonitor and analyze showroom performance metrics such as ticket sales, upgrade conversions, time to seat, time to clear, etc.Ensure all theater staff is held accountable to their job duties, providing feedback for improvements and discipline when requiredMaintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety policies and proceduresCollaborate with other departments as needed to ensure smooth operationsAll guidance given by upper management, or other designee must be followed through as instructedWork varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPerform other duties as required and/or assignedWHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with subordinates as well as upper managementStrong leadership and team management skillsA direct, results-driven management styleHigh attention to detailAbility to make strategic, data-driven decisionsAbility to create, track, and report sales and staffing metricsStrong passion for live entertainment productionExcellent customer service and sales skillsProven ability to problem-solve effectively and quicklyIn-depth knowledge of showroom and box office operationsSelf-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environmentPossess the ethics and positive outlook that supports company goals, values, and cultureComfortable enforcing all company and venue policies, rules, and regulationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:4+ years of proven management experience in an operational capacityBachelor’s degree in business or operations management preferred2+ years of experience in a theater, showroom, or live production setting is highly desiredWorking knowledge of internal and third-party ticketing systems and programsExperience managing a large team of employees with various job dutiesProven experience working with external stakeholders to guide operational objectivesExperienced in taking ownership and accountability for team performanceExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing, and kneelingWork indoors and possibly outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette and/or vape smoke, and other potentially hazardous materials and equipmentAbility to lift 50 poundsMust be able to continuously maneuver up and downstairsThis job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
