Position Announcement
The Financial Wellness Center provides one-on-one financial coaching, educational programming, and campus-wide financial wellness initiatives designed to improve student financial capability, persistence, and overall well-being. Under the leadership of the Financial Wellness Center Faculty Director, the Assistant Director is an integral part of the Financial Wellness Center team by leading and managing all aspects of the Financial Wellness Center day-to-day operations. The Assistant Director will help advance student success and retention efforts by supporting initiatives that reduce financial stress and improve students' ability to persist toward graduation. Additionally, this Assistant Director will work on campus and in the greater Washington County area to coordinate programming development and delivery, and manage all external representation, assessment, and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across campus to integrate financial wellness into student success initiatives.
  • Coordinate data collection, program assessment, and reporting to evaluate student impact and program effectiveness.
  • Supervise and train peer financial coaches, including ongoing professional development and quality assurance.
  • Provide direct financial coaching support to students as needed.
  • Assist in development of outreach strategies, workshops, presentations, and digital educational content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • AFC®, CFP®, CPFC or other related financial counseling credential within 18 months of hire required.
  • Three (3) years in financial education, financial counseling, student services, or higher education programming preferred.
  • Higher-education experience; Navigate familiarity; experience with first-gen, Pell-eligible, working, or non-traditional students; Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Supplemental Information
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $60,000, with a desired start date of October 2026.
