🥂 We're hiring a Private Events Director at Charlotte City Club.

Here's the honest pitch: uptown Charlotte, skyline views, a member roster that shows up — and a private events space that has never* been actively marketed to the Charlotte market.

Read that again. This isn't a turnaround. It's a wide-open runway in one of the most sought-after event cities in the Southeast. The right Private Events Director is going to build this book of business from the ground up, and they're going to get paid on every dollar of it.

If you're the one who lights up when a wedding client walks in, closes the corporate holiday party at the number, and still gets the BEO on the F&B chef's desk 72 hours out — keep reading.

What you'll actually do:

🎯 Own the private events P&L. Weddings, corporates, board dinners, member milestones — you drive the revenue and you defend the margin.

📞 Prospect like a director, not an order-taker. Charlotte's book of business is out there. Go get it.

🤝 Turn one great wedding into three referrals. Members and guests should be selling for you.

📋 Run flawless BEOs and lead a team that executes like clockwork.

🏆 Partner with our GM, Executive Chef, and Membership Director to make Charlotte City Club the room every Charlotte host wants to book.

What we're looking for:

✅ 5+ years in catering / event sales leadership at a private club, upscale hotel, resort, or premier venue

✅ A track record of closing against price pressure — not just booking what walks in the door

✅ Comfort with the numbers: revenue targets, F&B minimums, cost of sale, event margins

✅ Someone who can hold a difficult client conversation AND still get invited to the next one

✅ Bonus: TripleSeat, Salesforce, or a comparable events CRM

Compensation — real numbers:

💵 Base + uncapped commission on every event you sell

📈 Year 1 realistic target: $70K+

🚀 Year 2 realistic target: $100K+

🔓 No ceiling. The venue is unmarketed to Charlotte today. Whatever you build, you get paid on.
