We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks related to laptop configuration. This role requires expertise in BIOS configuration, secure data erasure, comprehensive diagnostics, and device Windows reimaging. Experience and expertise with Apple Operating Systems is also a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced comfortability with BIOS configurations and access on various laptop models to optimize performance and ensure compatibility with hardware and software.
• Execute secure data erasure procedures using industry-standard tools and methodologies to protect sensitive information and comply with data privacy regulations.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues, troubleshoot problems, and determine the root cause of malfunctions.
• Utilize imaging software to deploy operating systems and applications to laptops, ensuring consistent and standardized configurations across devices.
• Replace faulty hardware components such as RAM, hard drives, and screens.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
• Document all repairs, configurations, and diagnostic findings accurately and comprehensively.
• Maintain an organized and clean workstation, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest laptop technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Laptop Technician or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of laptop hardware components and their functions.
• Expertise in BIOS/UEFI settings and configuration.
• Proficiency in data erasure techniques and tools (e.g., Blancco, WipeOS, MacCheck).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
• Experience with system imaging tools (PXE Server)
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
