Job description

Reports To: Quality Supervisor                              Department: Production Manufacturing

Job Summary:  To assist in the operation of Production Manufacturing, ensuring the utmost quality, integrity, and compliance according to customer specifications, reliability, and assurance with regards to personnel training and break relief.

      Responsibilities Tasks and Roles:

Dimensional verification of production products utilizing metrology equipment and gages.          

Recording all required dimensional checks, gage SPC checks, and visual checks to the Boundary Samples and/or job book and Master Color plaques on Quality Control Report. (QRC)

Assist Supervisor or Process Tech with First/Last shot part approvals.

Ensure all job totes are returned to Quality Rack when job is completed with Last shots

Documenting the Quality Issues that arise on the Production Floor.

Perform all Mold press Inspector/Operator level 1-4 responsibilities.

Assist with New Hire Orientation Training.

Translate all work instruction in the job books to new and current personnel. 

Ensure personnel can fundamentally perform all existing and upcoming jobs within the company.

Perform as an Inspector/Operator and to function as a Team Member

Document all related training criteria for Inspector/ Operator

Provide breaks to Inspector/Operators as necessary.

Perform Quality Control Audits on all products being produced as directed by Manager or shift Supervisor.

Promote positive reassurance involving the production operation on all jobs.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Log in/out all daily production data.

Responsible of dual ownership with shift supervisor for scheduling break relief.

Perform Red Rabbit procedure as required.

Other Task assigned by Supervisor Process Tech and Management Staff.

Job Qualifications:

Able to Take Directions

Ability to Work Independently, and with others.

Strong overall knowledge of Procedures

Overtime as Required

Report On-Time and have Excellent Attendance Standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong Oral and Written Communications Skills

Knowledge of Measurement Systems.

Ability to Read Blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Self-Motivated

Responsible for Multiple Tasks

Basic Computer Skills/Math Skills

Able to Perform Sorting Operations as Necessary

Ability to Understand Production and Quality Standards

All Machine Inspector/Operator Abilities.

Authority:

To report all production issues to Shift Supervisor while documenting problems and solutions for the use of future production.  Has the authority to place any production product on hold for review with Quality Manager.

Has the authority to report to the Shift Supervisor of any inappropriate or inadequate performances witnessed and or documented.

 Minimal Training:  Levels 1-4 Inspector/Operator, Basic gaging requirements, Quality Control reporting, SPC Training, Basic Blueprint Reading.

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  1-to-3-year Mold Press Inspector/Operator or Quality Assurance.
