We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and we produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.## How We LEAD:The VP, Business Development will be responsible for driving meaningful revenue opportunities through strategic lead generation and the development of music marketing programs (content, experiential, music consultancy and digital/social) for our brand prospects.The position requires experience and skill in, among other things, commercial management, Growth Sales, Brand positioning and strategy, C-suite stakeholder management, as well as a deep understanding of the music and advertising industry.## How You'll CREATE:• Develop and manage an active and qualified new business pipeline to convert brand prospects into long-term revenue-generating partners• Ability to develop client relationships through a strategic and consultative ( i.e solutions focused) approach• Initiate and foster collaboration across UMGB’s multi-disciplinary strategy, insights, account and activation team in London, NY and LA, and across UMGB’s local market brand partnership leads• Lead new business development pitch process from sales lead generation to conversion• Develop robust and compelling presentations and concepts that best position and leverage UMG’s diverse assets and music-based solutions to C-suite partners• Manage and mentor New Business team including Director, Manager and Coordinator## Bring Your VIBE:• 10+ years of experience in marketing, business development, partnerships, media sales, or a related field within the entertainment, media, or music industries• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience• Proven success leading sales pipelines, pitch development, and integrated marketing programs across digital, social, experiential, and emerging media channels• Deep understanding of the agency, brand, entertainment, and music landscapes, with advanced knowledge of digital marketing, social media, audience targeting, and new media platforms• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority opportunities, campaigns, and cross-functional initiatives simultaneously in fast-paced, collaborative environments• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and engage executives, clients, artists, management teams, and external partners• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and drive results• Exceptional organizational, project management, prioritization, and multitasking skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and other business systems relevant to the role• Consistent and punctual in-office attendance to support collaboration, mentorship, relationship-building, and team effectiveness• Passion for music, culture, and the evolving entertainment industry**Perks Playlist:**Join an entrepreneurial, global organization where authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight aren’t just values—they’re how we work every day.
