Summary

The Clinical Therapist and Assessor will provide direct therapeutic services to individuals with a variety of behavioral health and developmental challenges. This position is responsible for conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing therapy to clients. The role also involves collaborating with other team members and community partners to ensure comprehensive care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, an understanding of therapeutic interventions, and the ability to build positive, effective relationships with clients.

Description

Job Description:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with varying mental health and behavioral issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Work with clients to implement behavior modification programs and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Participate actively in treatment and behavior management team meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals, both verbally and in writing.
  • Coordinate with community support systems and resources to enhance client outcomes.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain detailed and accurate treatment records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and collaborate with other team members for the delivery of services.
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in mental health therapy and assessment.
  • May provide preventive counseling and participate in crisis interventions as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Active licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW/LISW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LPCC) in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong understanding of a wide range of intellectual and behavioral challenges.
  • Experience in mindfulness or meditation practices is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement functional treatment plans and build strong therapeutic relationships.
  • Must be willing to undergo thorough background checks.
  • Candidates on the CMS Exclusion List, Ohio System for Recovery Management (Ohio Medicaid Exclusions), or those who cannot pass background checks will not be considered for this position.
