Position Overview

The Unique Behavioral Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers the flexibility to provide mental health services while ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of care from the comfort of their own environments. As part of our hospice center team, you will play a vital role in improving the emotional well-being of clients facing significant life challenges.

About the Organization

Unique Behavioral Counseling Center prides itself on delivering personalized mental health services tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families. Our mission is to create a supportive and confidential space where clients can explore their emotions, confront challenges, and work towards meaningful personal growth. We focus on individual, couples, and family therapy, and are recognized for our innovative approaches that prioritize client-centered care.

Work Environment

As a fully remote position, you will have the ability to set your own workspace, allowing for a work-life balance that is crucial for mental health professionals. At Unique Behavioral Counseling Center, we foster a culture of collaboration among our clinical staff, where communication is encouraged, and professional development is prioritized. Our virtual office technology is state-of-the-art, designed to facilitate seamless client interactions and maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients, including history intake and identifying presenting issues to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and narrative therapy—to facilitate the healing process.
  • Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families, tailoring interventions to address distinct needs and preferences.
  • Foster strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and collaboration, helping clients navigate complex emotions and life decisions.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on therapeutic outcomes and feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and adhere to ethical practices while providing treatment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving treatment methods and best practices in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals dealing with grief, trauma, relationship issues, and mental health disorders. Our hospice center setting means that many clients are facing terminal illnesses, necessitating sensitive and compassionate care that not only addresses psychological needs but also supports families during particularly challenging periods.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience, particularly in mental health settings focused on individual and family therapy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with clients and establish rapport.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in hospice or palliative care settings is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with digital healthcare platforms and telehealth service delivery is highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record of providing therapeutic interventions that lead to measurable client outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a sign-on bonus, performance incentives, comprehensive health insurance packages, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and retirement plans with employer contributions to help secure your future.

We provide ample opportunities for advancement, ongoing training, and professional development. Our supportive environment encourages clinicians to pursue areas of specialization that align with their passions and skills while contributing meaningfully to our organization’s mission.
